Mexican Government's Socioeconomic Programs Go as Planned

Mexico -  All 25 socioeconomic programs prioritized by the Executive go as planned, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said at a private meeting with his cabinet, official spokespersons said on Wednesday.

The president chaired a meeting that lasted until late at night at the National Palace and was attended by federal delegates from all 32 Mexican states, at which he assessed the progress of the plans and congratulated his team for the work done in the first 100 days of his government.

No details about the meeting were revealed, although more information is expected to be disclosed today.

However, some participants pointed out that it was a meeting of congratulations and assessments of the progress, although the president repeated his call to redouble efforts and make more emphasis on republican austerity.

Labor Undersecretary Horacio Duarte told reporters after the meeting that the general achievements of the prioritized programs were reviewed.

The official from the Secretariat of Labor and Social Prevention noted that the direct delivery to people will be improved, as from the beginning, the new government has prioritized the direct support for citizens, he noted.
