Protecting the environment ... from the graphic humor

The outstanding Cuban cartoonist Boligán Corvo participates in the XXI International Biennial of Graphic Humor in San Antonio de los Baños, his hometown. On this occasion he also collaborates with the Ariguanabo Foundation (FUNDAR).
The Ariguanabo Foundation was established in September 2018, with the aim of expanding the environmental culture and contributing to the rescue of the Bosque de Galerías and the Ariguanabo river, among other projects. FUNDAR welcomes cultural personalities, such as Silvio Rodríguez, Isel Chacón and Sandalio Camblor; scientists such as Giraldo Alayón and Aimée Posada; and experienced teachers like Dania Reyes, among others. Boligán delivered more than 70 drawings on ecological themes to the Ariguanabo Foundation to be exhibited in different spaces. The artist expressed his intention to support the preservation of Ariguanabo's natural heritage.
With the same theme, Boligán Corvo presented the personal exhibition "Lágrimas verdes", made up of 30 drawings, at the International Film and Television School. He also contributed to the creation of a collective exhibition by Latin American cartoonists entitled "Humor Re-Verde", which are still exhibited on Avenida 41 in San Antonio de los Baños.
