My Ariguanabo

Artemisa, Cuba - On the occasion of Earth Day, the members of the René de la Nuez Speleological Group visited important natural sites in San Antonio de los Baños. During the tour the characteristics of the plantations and the soils of the Villa were analyzed.

At the Bosquecito-Quintica recreational center, the group's president and director of the Speleological Group showed a female bat during the gestation period. He also explained that this species feeds on fruits. The Chermitio Cave was the next stop, where they were impressed by the beauty of the place. Everything shone. The salts and minerals released by the rocks, the stalagmites and stalactites made the place look magical.

The next stop was the Cueva del Negro, located in Campismo Ariguanabo. This cave suffers a lot due to the action of man. The writings on the walls show the indolence of man. The last stop was Las Compuertas, where the suffering of the river and the low level of its waters were confirmed.

The Speleological Group René de la Nuez will continue to disseminate what is happening in terms of environmental issues, so that our Villa is a special means to live in harmony with nature.
