Etecsa: for the safety of its users

Artemisa, Cuba - The Telecommunications Company of Cuba (Etecsa) calls users to protect their services from different types of fraud or lies, in order to guarantee security. According to Etecsa's  website (www.etecsa.cu), personal data are exclusive information of each user, so they should not share them to have full control of their own services. Etecsa has established that this kind of information will never be requested by telephone, SMS or emails.

Leydi Alfonso Espinosa, communication specialist at the Etecsa Territorial Division in Artemisa, said that in case of any concern users should contact the following numbers 52 64 22 66 -for mobile phones- or 118 -for the rest of the services-. "Once again, we alert customers that before transactions, transfers or other actions, whether accepting or repealing money, they should not perform any operation to avoid damaging their economic interests," said the specialist.

With the start-up of new services, including connection via mobile data, Etecsa is committed to safe browsing, as long as the user does not share any of the aforementioned data with other people. "From the website and Facebook, we frequently publish security tips in order to ensure full enjoyment of their services.
