Economic Recovery and Dialogue among Venezuela's Priorities

Caracas - The Government of Venezuela is focusing its efforts on the country''s economic recovery and political dialogue, amid the opposition''s calls to destabilization with support from the United States.
In that regard, Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza denounced 'the plot between the US empire and Venezuelan oligarchy to take over the control of the country's national wealth and geopolitics.'
'They experience an obsession and desperation when they face a firm people and National Bolivarian Armed Force (FANB), so they are doomed to fail,' the diplomat said in statements to Russia Today in Moscow.
The opposition and Washington started to deepen the maneuvers to make the economy collapse with illegal sanctions and a unilateral blockade.
Those sanctions have their maximum expression in the financial system, making it difficult to import inputs for production, acquire food and medicines, pay for services and technological maintenance, among others, he said.
'It is absurd, the unilateral policies as sanctions, blockade, it is the biggest illegality that exists,' the head of Venezuelan diplomacy stressed.
However, he added, Venezuelans are in permanent resistance and are aware of the need to defend their Homeland and their territory with all the tools they have at hand.
During his visit to Moscow, Arreaza thanked allies like Russia, China, Turkey and India for their support.
'Venezuela is a sovereign country and maintains relations with nations that respect the United Nations Charter, so we will continue to deepen our alliances,' the diplomat noted.
