Havana - The award granted by British critics to the Cuban dancer Carlos Acosta reaffirms the quality of the Cuban ballet school and the artist''s talent, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel said on Saturday.
In a message on Twitter, the head of State noted that the acknowledgement also honors the personal values of the best male dancer of his generation.

On Thursday, the official Twitter account of the company Acosta Danza informed that its founder and director had received the 2018 Award from the Circle of British Critics for his Services to the Arts.
According to the company, Acosta is the third dancer to receive that high distinction in the United Kingdom.
