Venezuelan President Repeats Willingness to Dialogue with Opposition

Caracas - The Government of Venezuela is willing to settle the differences with the opposition through dialogue, President Nicolas Maduro said after a meeting with international representatives.
The president said on Twitter that the meeting held on Thursday at the Miraflores Palace with members of the International Contact Group, who are visiting the country to promote a negotiated solution to the domestic crisis, was important.
'I expressed to them my willingness to settle the internal differences through dialogue, and we spoke about the economic aggressions by the empire of the United States against our people,' the head of State wrote in reference to the meeting at the venue of the Executive.
The Venezuelan head of State met with representatives of Uruguay, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Sweden, the European Union and the European External Action Service, the presidential media reported.
Previously, the members of the Contact Group met with Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza at the Yellow House (the Foreign Ministry headquarters), as part of a working agenda that includes meetings with different political sectors in Venezuela, the Foreign Ministry said.
Maduro has repeatedly expressed his willingness to iron out the political differences that exist in the country through peaceful, democratic and negotiated ways, with respect for constitutional order.
