Artemisa, Cuba - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Three days at the headquarters of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power, in San Antonio de los Baños, to discuss the Helms-Burton Act. The workers, grouped by Trade Unions, gather to reject the activation of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act.

Workers from the Dairy Products Enterprise, the Commerce and Gastronomy Enterprise as well as of the System of Attention to the Family in Ariguanabo rejected the Helms-Burton Act, after receiving a conference by Armando Hernández, activist professor at the School of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC).

At the meeting, the Ariguanabo workers learned that Title III of the Helms-Burton Act grants the right to submit claims to individuals who were not citizens of the United States at the time their properties were nationalized or abandoned. Juan Alberto Rodríguez Linares, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in San Antonio de los Baños, proposed that each administrative leader solve the difficulties of the workers, from the workplace, and that the the entity's assets and services be protected.

The media, the Internet and schools spread messages such as: "We understand struggle, not surrender", "Against my future, we do not understand" "Cuba is an idea, or several ideas at the same time" "Cubans have to summarize and unite ". This is how we protect our assets, from the base, from the town, the sole owner of the schools, the arable land, hospitals and industries, the sole owner of Cuba.
