Díaz-Canel receives Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency

The President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, received May 17 the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), His Excellency Yukiya Amano, on an official visit to Cuba.
During the cordial meeting, they discussed the excellent state of relations between the IAEA and Cuba, and exchanged about the favorable implementation of cooperation projects and the potential for their strengthening.
The distinguished visitor was accompanied by His Excellency Luis Longoria, Director of the Division for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Department of Technical Cooperation at the IAEA, and Edgard Pérez, assistant to the Director General.
Participating on the Cuban side were Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, and Minister of Science, Technology and Environment, Elba Rosa Pérez Montoya.
