President Diaz-Canel Congratulates Cuban Boxers

Havana - President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Sunday congratulated the Cuban boxing team that finished first by countries at the Grand Prix held in Usti Nad Labem, in the Czech Republic.
'Congratulations to our Champions. Cuban boxing wins five trophies at the Grand Prix in Usti Nad Labem. We are Cuba, We are Continuity,' the president wrote on his Twitter account.
Saturday's victories were achieved by Yosbany Veitia (52 kg), Andy Cruz (63), Arlen Lopez (75), Julio Cesar La Cruz (81) and Dainier Pero (+91).
In another twit, the Cuban head of State also congratulated Jose Ramon Pelier, who won the gold medal at the Canoeing World Cup in Poznan, Poland.
On Saturday, the Cuban canoeist, who competed in the C-1 modality at 1,000 meters, won the tough contest clocking 3:45.22 minutes, and was followed by Martin Fuksa (3:46.346), from the Czech Republic, and Tomasz Kaczor (3:46.574), from Poland, in the second and third places, respectively.
