President Diaz-Canel tours domestic business fair

Havana - Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel held a dialogue on Monday with entrepreneurs attending the 4th Business Fair being held in ExpoCuba, in the Cuban capital.
In a visit to the stand of the Business Group of the Iron and Steel Mechanical Industry (GESIME), the Cuban leader shared with executives on the importance of replacing imports and the establishment of productive ties among national companies, as key elements for the improvement of the national economy.
The fair is running through Friday and it gathers over 432 companies from both State and private sector, with the purpose of promoting relations between the economic actors of the nation.
The event has among its top goals to identify the existing potentials in the domestic market with a view to reduce the country's import dependency.
According to the organizers, the fulfillment of this economic principle could lead to greater dynamism to tourism, foreign investment and trade.
