Artemisa, Cuba - Since 2015, the investment process began at Hotel Las Yagrumas, belonging to Islazul Group in San Antonio de los Baños. The process is carried out by Habana Inmobiliaria and the Tourism Company (EMPRETUR). The Islazul Group also supports this investment process.
They started with the replacement of the room doors. Then, from 2016 to 2018, constructive actions were carried out as part of this investment process in 42 of the hotel's 120 rooms. They focused on replacing hydraulic networks, repairing bathrooms and pipes for hot water and painting. In the case of the aluminum windows, it has not been possible to finish due to the deficit of aluminum, an import resource. This year they work on the completion of the bathrooms of the Las Yagrumas Lobby, some rooms and side aisles were also painted. The boats of the Nautical Point, which offers the service of walks through the Ariguanabo River, received maintenance.
Hotel Las Yagrumas has received 459 tourists per day, from January to date. They arrive through tourist agencies such as Cubanacán, ECO-TUR, GaviotaTur and websites such as Booking.com.
According to Antonio Crespo Romero, tourists from the United States, Russia, Spain, and other nations visit the hotel, although the main clients are from national companies. Once the National Baseball Series begins, Las Yagrumas Hotel welcomes baseball players from other Cuban provinces.
