Angolan FM On Official Visit to Cuba

Havana - Angolan Minister of Foreign Affairs Manuel Domingos Augusto is carrying out on Thursday an official visit to Cuba, with which his country maintains close relations.
The Angolan foreign minister expects to meet with his peer Bruno Rodriguez, and will visit the Havana-based Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology.
Cuba and Angola established diplomatic relations on November 11, 1975 and since then, the two nations have maintained historical ties forged in the struggle for independence and defense of the sovereignty of the African country.
They have developed for more than 40 years cooperation ties in sectors such as health, construction, education, science and technology, agriculture, defense, energy and water.
More than 800 Cuban health specialists and 1,137 education workers are currently working in Angola.
About 2,180 Angolan students are currently training in Cuba and some 7,995 African professionals have been graduated so far in the Caribbean nation.
