The President of Cuba’s Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermúdez, on Thursday afternoon, received Manuel Domingos Augusto, the Republic of Angola’s minister of Foreign Affairs, who is making an official visit to our country.
During the fraternal meeting, discussed were the excellent state of bilateral relations, based on the historic ties of friendship between the two peoples, and the mutual desire to strengthen political, economic-commercial and cooperation ties was reaffirmed. Several issues on the international agenda were also addressed.
The distinguished guest was accompanied by Secretary of State of the Treasury, Her Excellency Vera Davis, and Angola’s Ambassador in Havana, His Excellency José César Augusto "Kiluanji."
Also participating on the Cuban side were Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, and the Foreign Ministry’s director for Sub-Saharan Africa, Gisela García Rivera.
