Caracas - More than 1.657 million Venezuelan youths have registered in the Youth Employment Great Mission (Gran Mision Chamba Juvenil), a government program to reincorporate young people into educational and labor projects, Vice President Delcy Rodriguez said.

The vice president noted that 262,000 of those youths are active in several training projects organized by the National Training and Socialist Education Institute (INCES), which graduated 1,440 youths on Monday.

At the graduation ceremony in Caracas, Rodriguez said that the Bolivarian Government approved an increase in the number of participants in the high-school productive program of the INCES, from 20,000 to 35,000.

In that regard, the Government approved resources to recover and activate 52 production units in such sectors as agriculture, iron and steel, shoe making and mechanics, among others, which operate in training centers throughout the country, the presidential media reported.

The Venezuelan vice president pointed out that authorities will guarantee the compliance with the Law of the National Training and Socialist Education Institute, which establishes that labor institutions must hire and train a number of apprentices equivalent to 3-5 percent of their active payroll.
