Cuba's President Attends Congress of Economists and Accountants

Havana - Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel has attended on Friday the last session of the 8th Congress of the National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba (ANEC) in Havana.
A panel dedicated to the economic thought of Carlos Rafael Rodriguez, Ernesto Guevara and Fidel Castro is scheduled for this day.
Participants will also receive a conference from the Deputy Minister of Economy and Planning Johana Odriozola, pointed out the Cuban News Agency.
During the event - held at the Convention Center - there were present over 400 delegates and guests who stressed on current problems and proposed applicable solutions at local and national level.
The main suggestions or ideas raised are related to the management of local development, productive chains, investments, the State company, foreign direct investment and foreign trade.
Issues about the new ways of non-State management were also addressed.

Havana - Cuba is a nation with a wealth of culture, stated the Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Audrey Azoulay, at the inauguration of the 41st International Festival of New Latin American Cinema on Thursday, running through December 15 in this capital.
