Havana - Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez confirmed on Thursday the island's commitment to protecting workers' rights, social justice and decent jobs for all.

The Cuban FM recalled in his Twitter account those duties of his government, on occasion of the centennial of the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the participation of Cuba's first vice president, Salvador Valdes, at the 108th meeting of the International Labor Conference.

Rodriguez recalled that Cuba is a founding member and a State party to 90 ILO conventions.

Subsequently, the first Cuban vice president met with the Director General of the ILO, Guy Ryder, and signed the Golden Book of this specialized agency of the United Nations system.
