The VI International Festival of Social Communication will begin its sessions today at the Conventions Center, an event that invites some 800 delegates to discuss key aspects of the sector until the 27th of this month.
The great event, organized by the Cuban Association of Social Communicators (ACCS), will feature presentations by prestigious national and foreign professionals, as well as delegates from Cuba, Spain, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Ecuador.
Among the participants, there will also be some vice-ministers from different sectors and communication professionals working in the Central State Administration.
Rosa María Pérez Gutiérrez, national president of ACCS, stressed in a press conference that the event will have about five presentations per day, except for the last day, in which there will be four on the occasion of the awarding of the Espacios Prize.
The program for this first day focuses on the work with internal communication and, as it coincides with the celebration of the 28th anniversary of ACCS, there will be a special toast.
Tomorrow there will be a dialogue on the right to information in the context of the Internet, advertising in corporate communication and communication for road safety, announced Pérez Gutiérrez.
Meanwhile, the program of the 27th includes the dissemination of the work of the Company of Advanced Telematic Technologies and Services (Citmatel) in audiovisual matters, the development of communication processes within the Ministry of Tourism, and the dismantling of false news in the context of political communication.
The event will conclude with the presentation of the Communication Space Award, granted annually by ACCS to professionals, organizations and companies with the aim of promoting professional development and recognizing the work of affiliates and personalities of the sector, national or foreign.
It is awarded in the categories of Research, Creativity, Public Relations, Institutional Communication, Professional (national and foreign), recognizes the work of organizations and is awarded a Space Award for the Work of a lifetime.
