Alleged ISIS Terrorists Captured in Nicaragua

Managua - The National Police of Nicaragua informed that the Army had captured and deported to Costa Rica four individuals allegedly linked to the terrorist group ISIS.
The press release says that the action, carried out on Tuesday morning by the Nicaraguan Army, was aimed at protecting the border.
The individuals allegedly linked to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) infiltrated into Nicaraguan territory illegally from Costa Rica, through a non-authorized border crossing in Cardenas municipality, in the southern department of Rivas, the communiqué adds.
The Army handed over the two Egyptian and two Iraqi citizens to the National Police, which transferred them to the Judicial Assistance Directorate to carry out an investigation.
The detainees produced entry and temporary visas for migrants, issued by Costa Rican migration authorities.
After the investigation was concluded, they were transferred to the Migration General Directorate, attached to the Ministry of the Interior, to be deported and handed over to Costa Rican authorities through the border checkpoint in Peñas Blancas, the press release says.
