Malawi Capote González, actress and director of the Los Cuenteros Theater Company of San Antonio de los Baños, returned from the IX Congress of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba UNEAC, with new and accurate assignments.

On her experiences she commented: "It was a very productive event, where the President of the Councils of State and Ministers Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermúdez participated."

Several commissions were organized with the aim of debating on various topics such as culture and tourism, artistic projections, cultural institutions; reaching agreements on measures that all members demanded to take into account for the cultural development of the country.

Malawi returned to San Antonio de los Baños full of hope for art, but she also returned with a new responsibility that was added and entrusted to her. She was elected as Vice President of the National Executive of Performing Arts, which implies a great responsibility as an artist, as a playwright and as a person, because in this way she will be able to help and support the performing arts in the country, but especially in our province of Artemisa.
