Protectors of history

Researcher Reveca Figueredo and the Mausoleum to the Martyrs of Artemisa received the Emilio Bacardí Moreau diploma, national recognition for preserving and spreading our history, on the occasion of celebrating in the Province the Historian´s day.

Gathered precisely in the award-winning institution, historians witnessed the presentation of the provincial recognition José Rafael Lauzán to colleague José Miguel Delgado from San Antonio.

Daniel Suárez, president of the provincial branch of the Union of Historians of Cuba, thanked and acknowledged the work of those who work to keep the historical heritage of the new province.

During the meeting, two books were presented by Dr. Caridad Massón Sena: Communism, Socialism and Nationalism in Cuba (1920-1958) and Culture, debate and reflection. Yearbook for cultural studies of Juan Marinello Institute.

In addition, those present recognized the support of the ideological department of the Party, the political section of the Minint, Radio Artemisa, the managements of Education and Culture, the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution and the Artemiseño newspaper.
