The Vice-President of the Councils of State and Ministers Inés María Chapman Waugh held official talks this Thursday morning with the Vice-President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, who is making an official visit to our country.
During the friendly meeting, both leaders exchanged on the good state of bilateral relations and confirmed the mutual will to continue strengthening them in areas of common interest. They also discussed current international developments.
The distinguished visitor was accompanied by the Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu; the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Mohammed Habibu Tijani; the Ghanaian Ambassador to Cuba, Napoleon Abdulai, and other members of his delegation.
On the Cuban side, Marcia Cobas Ruiz, Vice Minister of Public Health, as well as Emilio Lozada García, Director General of Bilateral Affairs; Pedro Luis Despaigne González, Ambassador to Ghana; Alejandro Díaz Palacios, Director a.i. of Sub-Saharan Africa, and other officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were present.
