
Artemisa, Cuba - One of the five units of electricity generation that unexpectedly went out of service of the National System, was the number 7 of the Máximo Gómez Thermoelectric Plant of the municipality of Mariel in the province of Artemisa.
This was confirmed to the press, by the engineer Leonardo Valdés Almenares, director of the plant who also said that now the block is in the cooling process to be able to review and solve the damage occurred.
He said that for this Saturday they should begin to repair the breakage and that soon the service will be restored in that unit that contributes nearly with 100 MG to the national system.
All the work is organized to ensure the repair in the shortest possible time, said the director of the plant.
The Plant has the necessary specialized force to assume the maintenance tasks of the unit number 7, in the opinion of the engineer Félix Reyes Aragonés, head of repair of the Máximo Gómez thermoelectric plant of Mariel.
