President of ICAP pays tribute to Jose Marti in Beijing

Beijing - The hero of the Republic of Cuba and president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with Peoples (ICAP) Fernando Gonzalez paid tribute to the island's Jose Marti, in the Friendship Park in the Chinese capital.
Gonzalez, who is on an official visit to China to strengthen bilateral ties, placed a floral offering in front of the bust erected to the Apostle of Cuban Independence.
Accompanied by children from the Caribbean island and Yuan Xikun, author of the sculpture, Gonzalez deposited white roses in the place that remembers the Cuban National Hero.
Officials from the local foreign ministry, diplomats from Latin America and the Caribbean accredited In Beijing, members of Havana's official mission and Cuba's Chinese friends participated in the event that also commemorated the 66th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks, to be celebrated on Friday, July 26.

Fidel's presence was recalled in several Ariguanabo centers and institutions. Students from the Eduardo Abela Vocational School of Art, located in San Antonio de los Baños, paid tribute to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, through dance and music.
