Bound to Lima for the glory of Artemisa

With the declaration - last week - of the homes of our champions as Pan American House, in eight municipalities the workers from National Institute of Sport and Recreation (INDER) said good bye to their children towards the regional appointment in Lima.
That was a starting step, since the historic July 26, the Andean capital will receive thousands of athletes from across the continent, who will compete to give glory to their country and their homeland.
According to information provided by the Provincial Directorate of Sports, within the numerous Cuban delegation, our province will provide some 30 names, almost 20 of them athletes, although some were missing to confirm their presence to the lid. They are the tennis players Isid Hernández, Yeleidis Luzardo and Yoan Andrés Pérez.
Once again the great Idalis Ortiz looks like the queen of the group. The girl from e Godínez will look for her third crown in these appointments. Another with a title at this level will be the experienced shotgun Guillermo Alfredo Torres, who is already going for his eleven appearance at the Pan American Games; one gold medal and two silver individually have been his balance.
In the individual order they also stand out for their possible contribution of medals, the rower Aimé Hernández, champion in Guadalajara 2011 and third in Toronto, the judocas Melissa Peñalver and Vanessa Godínez; as well as the decathlete bronze medalist in Barranquilla`18, Briander Williams Rivero and the route cyclist Felix Nodarse.
The new revelation of Artemisa sport is is included , the opposite attacker of the national volleyball team Jesús Herrera, who has had a dream year both in the Argentine league and with the four-letter team. Among the support staff ,there are three doctors from national teams, Judo, Remo and Rafting as well as the commissioners of these last two sports Ángel Luis García and Alejandro Hamze, in that order.
In these two sports there will be more Artemisa athletes, because we will have the coaches: Yosniel Domínguez (Rafting ), Juan Carlos Reyes (Remo), a physiotherapist and two carpenters. The other Artemisa trainers in Lima will be Daríem Martínez from Sailing and Yuri Rodríguez from Speed Skating.
By municipalities, Artemisa stands out with 11 members in the list that is not yet final, since the five that are not yet confirmed are from the provincial capital. Guanajay is followed by five representatives, Bauta four, Caimito and San Antonio de los Baños have three, Mariel and Bahía Honda two and one from Güira de Melena.
Without a doubt Lima will be a difficult test for the Cuban sports movement, hopefully it will bring us back to the top and to the reconquest of that second place of the medal stand. Hopefully we will conquer the top again and may Artemisa athletes bring much glory to Cuba, and to Artemisa , land of champions.
