July 26 a momentous date

Artemisa, Cuba - July 26 became a momentous date in history when in 1953, the revolutionary blood turned the date into the National Rebelliousness Day.
On July 26, which became a cause for rejoicing because it meant the validity of the Cuban independence ideal, took place the death sentence of the neo-colonial oppression of the Island.
Many are the merits that highlight the assault despite its tactical failure, first of all, the fact of retaking the continuity of the Revolution constitutes one of the main virtues of the heroic deed of the assault to the Moncada Garrison, in addition of placing the popular role in the center of the actions of the leader Fidel Castro.
Deeply with the ideas and principles of José Martí, the assailants of the Moncada swore in their Manifesto, before leaving for battle, to make a better homeland, and for the dignity of the Cubans this Revolution triumphed.
