Cuban Handball Women's Team Wins Bronze at 2019 Pan-Am Games

Lima - Cuban women's handball team defeated the United States 24-23 in a dramatic bronze medal match of the Pan American Games Lima 2019.
The Cuban team took the first half by 13-12, although it managed to extend advantage to four goals when there are less than five minutes left.
However, the US team took the extra and scored three goals in the final stages to raise tension and equalized 11, despite the final victory was not managed.
With this victory, Cuba returns to the Pan American podium in women's handball 12 years after the country won a silver medal in Rio de Jainero 2007.
