Jordan Diaz: Ready to face Lima´s challenge

Lima - Jordan Diaz, Cuba´s new Triple Jump sensation, is in a great form and focused on winning the Gold medal in the Lima 2019 Pan-Am Games, said his coach.
``Jordan is in a great form and I think we can accomplish the goal: to win the Gold medal with a jump close to his personal record (17.49 m) or better´´, said on Monday Diaz´ coach Ricardo Ponce after a training session at La Videna Stadium.
U-18 and U-20 World Champion, World U-18 record holder and champion in the 2018 Youth Olympics, Cuba´s talented jumper was only a one centimeter away from braking the Youth Triple Jump World Record (17.50), set by German Volker Mai in 1985.
About the rivals Jordan Diaz will face, Ponce said American Omar Cradock is probably the one to keep an eye on, since Cradock was 4th in the World Championship in Beijing 2015 and owner of this season´s third best record (17.68).
