Caracas - Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has said that US National Security Adviser John Bolton was involved in the frustrated assassination attempt carried out against him a year ago.
During an interview on Tuesday with US journalist Max Blumenthal -founder of The Grayzone-, the president declared that he has the necessary evidence to prove that assertion.
Maduro explained that he is currently waiting for the results of the White House, but stressed that Bolton worked with then Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos and former Venezuelan legislator Julio Borges, who participated in the coup d'etat against Commander Hugo Chavez in 2002, and against the president in 2014.
We have testimonies, witnesses and proof, all the material authors and some of the intellectual authors of this assassination attempt by drone were captured, he said.
Maduro stressed that those responsible for planning and financing the coup operations are in Miami, protected by the US government.
