Young women in Cuban society

Artemisa, Cuba - During the last three years, the number of young women workers in San Antonio de los Baños has increased. More than 300 young girls work in social and economic sectors in the territory. Currently in the municipality, a part of the young population works in the Agriculture, Economy, Public Health and Education sector, as well as in Commerce, Gastronomy and non-state forms of employment.
One of the tasks of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) is to incorporate young women into different social activities that help them achieve economic training and independence, for example the Summer Courses and the Call for Women's Voluntary Military Service. Currently, the integration of young women as leaders in different mass organizations such as the Young Communist League, the Communist Party of Cuba, the Cuban Workers Union and the National Association of Small Farmers, as well as Multidisciplinary Family Health Teams .
The women must maintain a leading role, within the main economic and social tasks promoted by the Cuban State and Government. The integration of the new generations is a necessity.
