
Artemisa, Cuba - The Minister of Education, Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiella, presided, on Wednesday, a working meeting on the preparations for the upcoming school year in Artemisa, where she urged to integrate more students to the pedagogical careers.
Velázquez Cobiella also reflected on the need to offer university degrees in chemistry and mathematics to face the needs of the province in pre-university.
The first secretary of the Cuban Communist Party in Artemisa, Gladis Martínez Verdecia, said that the solution to the lack of teachers is not only the salary increase, but also an integrated work among the different teachings, with emphasis on teacher training.
