Palestine condemns Israeli measure against US congresswomen

Ramallah - Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh criticized the Israeli decision today to ban entry of US congresswomen Rasihda Tlaib and Ilhan Omar before their planned visit to the occupied West Bank.

Shtayyeh declared through the Twitter social network that the Tel Aviv decision implies fear of exposing the oppression of Israeli occupation against Palestinians to the American and international public.

Israel fights all those who oppose its policy of maintaining the occupation and tries to silence the voices calling for peace and the realization of the rights of the Palestinian people, the prime minister added.

The official said the ban on entry to the West Bank for Congresswomen Tlaib and Omar reaffirms the fact that democracy and racism are incompatible.
