Biden to Skip Important Democratic Meeting

The former vice president of the United States and Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden declined to participate in an important meeting of his party''s National Committee next weekend, reported Politico newspaper on Monday. The three-day meeting, to be held in San Francisco, California, will be attended by 13 Democrat presidential hopefuls, including Senators Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Michael Bennet, Cory Booker, Amy Klobuchar and Bernie Sanders.

Pete Buttigieg, mayor of South Bend, Indiana, will also be absent from the event, which will see hundreds of delegates gather, the publication added.

Biden also skipped the California Democratic Party convention held in June, a few weeks after the launch of his campaign.

According to his collaborators, the second in command during Barack Obama's administration (2009-2017) will next weekend organize events in New Hampshire, the first state where primary elections will be held.

Biden, Warren and Sanders are the most popular candidates among Democrat voters, with the respective support of 30.5, 17.3 and 16% of members, according to the polls conducted by RealClearPolitics.
