UEFA Announces Nominees for Player of the Year Award

Messi was the top scorer of the Champions League (12 goals) and champion of the Spanish League, where he won his tenth title with FC Barcelona and 36 goals.
Meanwhile, Cristiano was the top scorer of the final phase of the Nations League, in which he was champion with his national team, and achieved his first league title in Italy with Juventus.
Van Dijk was chosen best player of the Champions League final, in which he conquered the title with Liverpool, as well being a finalist of the Nations League.
UEFA confirmed the names of the three finalists for the award that Real Madrid's Croatian player Luka Modric received a year ago.
The nominees were selected by a jury composed by 80 coaches from the clubs participating in the Champions League and the Europa League, along with 55 journalists from each of the UEFA member federations selected by the European Sports Media group.
