The Base Business Unit ''UEB Producciones Alimentarias Varias'', located in San Antonio de los Baños, guarantees food productions for the municipalities of the province of Artemisa.

At the end of 2018, the UEB was unstable in complying with the economic technical plans, due to the deficit of wheat flour used to prepare different elaborations, including ice cream, breads, cookies and sweets.

As of March, production stabilized as these factories received a certain amount of wheat flour. From that moment on, cookies, bread, pastries, meat products, ice cream, fruit jams, canned sliced ​​sweets, among other foods, are marketed.

These products are usually destined to several entities, including CIMEX stores, as well as Tobacco, Comercio and Mayorista enterprises, in San Antonio de los Baños.

According to María Trujillo, head of the Food Economic Department, the fundamental entity with which contractual relations are established is the OEE; In addition, the Mercados Ideales of the municipalities and the non-agricultural cooperative ''26 de Julio''.
