Spanish company to operate in the Mariel Special Development Zone

Artemisa - The wholly Spanish-owned company Grupo BM Interinvest Technologies Mariel, S.L.U., was established in the Mariel Special Development Zone (ZEDM), located in the province of Artemisa, official sources reported yesterday.
According to a statement from the ZEDM, the Spanish company is authorized to build and operate for 40 years a platform equipped with offices and warehouses for industrial and service use, while offering other services associated with these activities.
The ZEDM's business development program, which seeks to boost this activity, was approved by the Cuban Council of Ministers at the end of 2018.
As stated by Ana Teresa Igarza, ZEDM director general, the plan is focused on maintaing the vision pursued by the ZEDM as an advanced multisectoral complex.
