For the protection of natural resources in Ariguanabo

Artemisa, Cuba - The Cuban Ranger Corps in San Antonio de los Baños began the preparation for the Forest Fire Prevention Campaign (2019 - 2020), an exercise that will guarantee the protection of natural resources in important areas such as the Cuenca Ariguanabo.
José Valdés Ruiz, inspector and forest ranger, in charge of the Cuenca Ariguanabo and the Habana–Pinar del Río Highway, highlighted the work carried out by the members of the Ministry of Interior, the PCC and UJC leaders, the government and mass organizations officials, regarding the development of conferences and conversations.
José Valdés Ruiz, a faithful defender of the environment, commented on the daily operations they carried out, among them: the granting of licenses to peasants and manufacturers of coal furnaces for the use of fire, the confrontation to the indiscriminate felling of trees, the surveillance of poachers and fishermen, in addition to the work for the protection of vulnerable coastal areas ... as part of the Tarea Vida (Life Task).
Valdés Ruiz insisted on the call of President Díaz - Canel to unite and think as a country, because the protection of natural resources demands it ... remember Marti's maxim: "We do not inherit the world from our parents ... we borrow it from our children".
