Steps towards a new tour

Artemisa, Cuba - San Antonio de los Baños is getting ready for the 85th tour of the National Group of Urban, Suburban and Family Agriculture, to be held on December 11 and 12.
Approximately every four months, emphasis is placed on the different subprograms that support the Urban Agriculture Movement in the municipalities of the country. They are currently working to maintain the conditions and variety of products in the La Cubana Minindustry, located on 70th Street, which is proposed to receive the 4th National Excellence.
According to Yaima Hernández, director of the Urban Farm, the painting of the Los Combatientes sales unit, inaugurated in September, must also be completed. Another development task that has been carried out in the territory was the completion of the office belonging to the Urban Farm Base Enterprise Unit.
In the next tour, the Farmer's Store will also be evaluated, classified as a national reference unit, in which the inputs that producers require for their work are sold, including seeds, machetes, hoes, limes, sprinklers, among other.
The production of vegetables in orchards, urban farms and semi-protected areas, as well as the subprogram related to the raising of goats, rams and rabbits, is a priority.
Emphasis was also placed on land preparation for the new stage of planting medicinal plants, in areas of the Seed Estate in the municipality. The annual plan has already been fulfilled, standing out among the main varieties: aloe, paciflora, oregano, Japanese mint, linden and chamomile.
