Havana - Cuba gradually recovers productive activities after facing a temporary shortage of fuel due to actions by the US blockade, Economy and Planning Minister Alejandro Gil said on his Twitter account.
He said in that message the Ministry is working on the closure of this year's plan and that of 2020.
Production activities affected by the energy situation are gradually recovering. Cuba not only can, but is demonstrating it, said the message.
Cuba experienced in September the interruption of the normal arrival of tankers, due to pressures and persecution by the US Government against the flag countries of the tankers, shipping companies, insurance companies and reinsurers.
President Miguel Díaz-Canel denounced this practice as genocidal, which has the purpose of cutting off energy supplies and blaming the authorities of the island for the damages derived from such declared commitment.
Given the situation, now clearly being solved, Cuba implemented reorganization measures, slowing down high fuel-consuming activities, saving measures and others to guarantee the main services and minimize the effects on the population.
This triggered initiatives in institutions, provinces, municipalities and among citizens, not a few of which will be maintained despite the gradual normalization of fuel supply.
