Artemisa, Cuba - The Base Enterprise Unit UEB Medicamentos, in San Antonio de los Baños, a representative entity of the province of Artemisa, celebrated the 14th anniversary of its foundation.

The director of the entity, engineer Andris Ramón Rodríguez Almeida, said: “Today is a historic day, we remember that October 7, 2005, when the Minister of the former Ministry of Basic Industry creates the company ''Marketing and Distribution of Medicines''. The ideas, the collective work and the unity of more than 400 workers have allowed the advance of the entity (…)

The founders of the institution, as well as several young people, were recognized for their perseverance, efforts and work results. Among them: the engineer Miguel Ángel Hechavarría Echavarría, president of the Youth Technical Brigades; Adriano Hernández, head of Brigade; Milagros Valdés, Technician in Quality Management; Yasmelkis Díaz, specialist in Quality Management; and Miguel Ángel Concepción, driver.

The  entity's  workers recognized the dignified work of Rafael Rodríguez Ortiz (Felo) and awarded him a painting representing the Apostle, a well-deserved tribute and a way to honor this son of the Ariguanabo.

The director of the institution, Andris Ramón Rodríguez Almeida, and the secretary of the Cuban Workers Union at the entity, Gilberto Castro Acanda, received the membership card of the Communist Party of Cuba.

Unity, responsibility, values, humanity, dynamism and joy, are qualities that according to the director, Andris Ramón Rodríguez Almeida, characterize a collective committed to the Revolution and the Cuban people.
