Varadero Beach to host Cuba Golf Grand Tournament

With the presence of over 18 years old professional or amateur players, the Varadero Golf Club will host the 11th edition of the Cuba Golf Grand Tournament from today until next Saturday.
Convened by the Cuban Ministry of Tourism, Palmares S.A. and the Varadero Golf Club, the competition will grant three awards per category, according to the official website of the contest.
Previous editions of the competition were attended by players from more than a dozen countries and golfers of recognized international prestige as South African Ernie Els, Spanish Alvaro Quiros and British Tony Jacklin.
Australian Greg Norman (the Great White Shark), famous former professional golfer qualified as number one for 331 consecutive weeks, inaugurated the eighth edition of the event held in 2016.
The development of golf and real estate agencies associated with this sport modality is included in the strategy of the Cuban Ministry of Tourism to strengthen that sector.
