St. Petersburg, Russia - Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel concluded his stay in this northern city today as part of a work visit to this country, where he will meet tomorrow with his Russian similar, Vladimir Putin.

The head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Government of St. Petersburg, Evgueni Grogoriev, came to see him off at Pulkovo Airport.

Shortly before leaving for Moscow, the president visited the Leningrad Defense Museum, where he received explanations of the feat of the Soviet people during the 900 days of the siege of this hero city.

According to the exponent of the museum, in difficult times of the siege a daily ration of 250 grams of bread was distributed for adults and 125 for children.

At the end of his visit to that historic place, where he met the composition of the interior of a shelter, which has a small school, and reproductions of real war scenes in the defense of this city in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945).

The day also included meetings with the direction of the government and the parliament of St. Petersburg and a visit to the Fabergé museum, where nine of the 69 Easter eggs carved by the famous Russian jeweler Pavel Carl Fabergé are stored.
