The Portuguese capital company ECOPLAST, S.A. was constituted today as user number 49 of the Mariel ZED for the manufacture of plastic articles and molds, in the Industrial Park that develops the dealership ViMariel, S.A.

Close to begin the construction of its plant and authorized to operate in Cuba for a period of 25 years, ECOPLAST, S.A. will use materials such as polyethylene, polypropylene and PVC for the manufacture of various plastic items, all with high demand in the country.

The productions of this company will include medicine bottles, containers for hygiene items, glasses, plates and other food containers.

Located in the ViMariel Industrial Park, the modern factory will also produce and market molds for the transformation of plastics, paper, cardboard and rubber, and will offer maintenance, repair and recapitalization services for equipment associated with the molds.

ECOPLAST, S.A. is a subsidiary of the Portuguese company Enpromoulds Molds Engineering & Production Ltda., which has more than 20 years of experience in the plastics processing industry.
