PT denounces Bolsonaro's involvement in councilwoman's assassination

Brasilia - The Workers' Party (PT) of Brazil filed a criminal complaint before the Federal Supreme Court (STF) against President Jair Bolsonaro for his responsibility in the assassination of Councilwoman Marielle Franco.
The complaint also includes his son, Senator Carlos Bolsonaro, and Justice Minister Sergio Moro, on charges of administrative impropriety.
It is based on information provided by the head of State last weekend, according to which he and Carlos seized the 10-year memory of the answering machine of the doorman of a condominium in Rio de Janeiro were they live.
A criminal complaint is a legal instrument to inform an authority, in this case the STF, that a crime was committed and must be investigated and tried.
In the complaint, sent to STF President Antonio Dias Toffoli, PT President Gleisi Hoffmann and the party's leaders in the House of Deputies, Paulo Pimenta, and the Senate, Humberto Costa, demand the search and confiscation of all materials illegally appropriated by Bolsonaro and his son, and the verification by experts of any adulteration of the evidence.
