Artemisa, Cuba - With a workforce of eight workers, the Seed Center as part of the National Tobacco Research Institute, located in the municipality of San Antonio de los Baños in the province of Artemisa, will guarantee the production of 1 463,18 kilograms of treated seeds of tobacco, which will allow planting in the coming tobacco campaign 2020-2021,  7  830 hectares in its first year of exploitation.

These seeds will be distributed in the different tobacco companies of the country, in correspondence with the approved varietal strategy that responds to the current requirements of our tobacco industry.

In a visit to this center to verify the progress of the work, the Minister of Agriculture, Gustavo Luis Rodríguez Rollero reaffirmed that the most important thing is that in the next tobacco campaign, all the seed that will be sold to the producers passes first through this plant.
