Celebrations in Artemisa for the student´s day

Artemisa, Cuba - The students of the Manuel Valdés Technical Institute developed several activities to commemorate the International Student´s Day that is celebrated in our country every November 17.
Cuba celebrates the Student´s Day on this date in tribute to a group of young Czechoslovakians, who decided to free their homeland from the Hitler yoke on November 17, 1939 staged a heroic resistance in the streets of Prague, the capital of that country.
The activities began with a special morning where all the students were congratulated and were presented cultural modules made up of students of the three years of polytechnic teaching.
The day was propitious for a group of students to receive the card that accredits them as new members of the Young Communist Union (UJC).
