Raul Castro elected delegate to combatants' conference in Cuba

Havana - First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee, Raul Castro, was elected delegate to the 5th National Conference of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution (ACRC), local media reported.
Army General Raul Castro is a member of the Santiago de Cuba delegation to the event, scheduled for April 2020, along with First Deputy Minister and Chief of the General Staff of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR), Army Corps General Alvaro Lopez Miera, national television reported.
Founded in 1993, the ACRC is made up of combatants on a voluntary basis, and its goal is to unconditionally support the defense of the Revolution.
