La Rosita agro-ecological farm in the municipality of Guanajay

Artemisa, Cuba - Delegates to the Seventh International Meeting of Agro-ecology, Sustainable Agriculture and Cooperativism exchanged experiences with producers of the La Rosita agro-ecological farm in the municipality of Guanajay.

The event sponsored by the National Association of Small Farmers ANAP constitutes a fundamental pillar for the development of the sustainable agriculture, said Vladimir Noa Bárzaga, an official of the national leadership of this organization.

For his part, Julio César Bravo, Colombian delegate to the event, thanked the experiences acquired on sustainable agriculture practiced in Cuba.

Fifty years telling stories

The Los Cuenteros Puppet Theater Company celebrated its 50th anniversary this November 19 at the Museum of Humor, located in San Antonio de los Baños, with the exhibition ''Fifty years telling stories''. The exhibition shows photographs, puppets and costumes used by Los Cuenteros in various performances since 1969.

Cuban minister stress importance of culture for the fulfillment of Agenda 2030

Paris - Cuba’s Minister of Culture, Alpidio Alonso, assessed the role of culture in the United Nations Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development, during a multilateral forum held ay UNESCO headquarters in Paris.

For the quality of teaching

"At the Eduardo Abela Villarreal Vocational Art School, located in San Antonio de los Baños, the quality of the teaching-educational process is prioritized," said Mirelis Ferrer Llanes, head of the General Teaching Department at this institution.
