American travel agencies suggest to expand information about trips to Cuba

American travel agency CEOs recognized the importance of broadening the scope of travel opportunities to Cuba during a seminar held at the Cuban embassy to USA.

The Insight Cuba representative, Tom Popper, considered Cuba a safe destination, culturally rich and by being geographically close, offers transforming experiences.
It is legal and completely safe to travel to the Caribbean island, said Tom Popper, adding that there is still a lot of interest in the United States towards the neighboring nation, 'but what is missing is the information they do have about other destinations.

Popper also said Cuba keeps its doors open to Americans, and this is a great time for individuals and travel agencies to go to the Caribbean territory, because the categories approved by the U.S. government still allow it, despite the restrictions imposed by Donald Trump's administration.

For her part, Mildred Diaz, from Invicta Group, said that last August she attended the convention of the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA), held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where many people asked if it was legal to visit Cuba, which evidences the need to educate agencies and tour operators about the characteristics of trips to the island, where they can certainly travel, although Americans cannot do so as tourists.

Other travel agency representatives who attended the seminar also called for more information. We have to go out and tell the American people that Cuba is a safe place, that they can go, see it, come back and share their experience.
