Arriving at the Casa de los Abuelos in San Antonio de los Baños and meeting the Acosta family - promoters of the Barro sin Berro Project - is a great event. This family of artisans, members of the Cuban Association of Artisans Artists (ACAA), gave the members of this house -where gray hair and years have a place for healthy recreation and enjoyment of the elderly- a collection of decorated jugs and cups.

How nice the initiative of the Barro sin Berro Project. How nice to cheer up the tired face and the distant gaze of who could be our grandfather, our neighbor, or simply an elder of our town.

These noble actions enlarge the soul of those who make them. The members of the project promised to take the grandparents to the Barro sin Berro workshop in order to show them how those beautiful pieces of pottery are created, which from now on will be part of the grandparents' day-to-day lives.
